Singing for Change aims to advance the common good by empowering people to thrive, and to strengthen and sustain vibrant, diverse communities. Originally created by Jimmy Buffett in 1995, Singing for Change (SFC Charitable Foundation, Inc., aka SFC) was initially funded with contributions from his summer concert tour.  Since then, SFC has offered competitive grants to progressive, non-profit organizations that address the root causes of social or environmental problems.

Singing for Change wants to hear from you!

Who can apply?

 Progressive, non-profit         organizations that

a. have a valid 501(c)3 status
b. and address the root causes of social or environmental problems.

Selected organizations will be invited to submit a full proposal based on their letters of interest.


Why should you apply?

As an SFC grantee, your organization will receive 

  • up to $10,000 in undesignated funds
  • publicity on our website and Facebook page
  • support from our staff to help you creatively leverage your relationship with our foundation.

  By May 1, submit a letter of interest. 
  By August 1, submit a full application.
